Heal your sports injuries faster with Kinesio Taping

Kinesio Taping can provide the relief you’re looking for. Recover Fisioterapia & Rehabilitacion offers this therapy to help relieve pain, support recovery, increase mobility, improve range of motion, and—most importantly—help you get back to the activities you love!

What can I gain from Kinesio Taping?

Kinesio Taping helps restore function by supporting the repair of disrupted connections between the skin and the underlying muscles, joints, and tendons. It can also help reduce pain by decreasing the pain signals sent to the brain. When fewer pain signals are received, the muscles in the affected area can relax, and the risk of spasms may decrease significantly. Pain and protective tension can limit blood flow and movement in the affected area, but as pain improves, circulation and mobility can be restored.

There are many reasons why this taping technique can be beneficial in your healing process! These include, but are not limited to:

  • Reduced swelling: Helps decrease swelling caused by surgery, injury, or overuse by reducing pressure between the skin and the tissues underneath. This allows trapped fluid to move more freely and supports better movement in the affected area.
  • Pain relief: The brain receives fewer pain signals from the affected area because pain receptors are stimulated less, allowing the muscles to relax. This can lead to improved mobility, faster recovery, and a more comfortable overall treatment experience.
  • Joint stabilization: Some conditions can make it difficult for joints to stay properly aligned. Kinesio Tape can help stabilize and support these joints while still allowing movement through their intended range of motion.
  • Scar tissue management: Healing after trauma may lead to thick scar tissue forming around the affected area, which can restrict movement signals. Kinesio Tape can help gently lift and stretch scar tissue, improving mobility and making movement feel easier.
